FAQ
-
How much does each session cost?Because our sessions and programs are customized to the individual so prices vary. Please contact us to find out about our pricing.
-
Do you take my insurance?Movement Driven Performance Physiotherapy is considered out-of-network. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to receive up to 80% reimbursement for therapy with Movement Driven from your insurance provider. Please contact your insurance provider for your specific out of network benefits. We can provide for you a list of questions to ask your insurance provider when you call. This allows us to spend more quality 1-on-1 time with clients and will help you feel better faster. While most PT clinics see you 3x a week with many other patients at the same time, we usually see you 1-2x a week. You tend to need less visits, and in the long run may end up spending less with us than a traditional PT practice when you consider your deductible, co-pay, and extra visits needed

Why is Movement Driven out of network with insurance? At Movement Driven Performance Physiotherapy, we believe that providing patients with one-on-one care is best for their healing and rehab. Unfortunately, the current in-network insurance-based model does not allow this to occur in most settings. Typically, insurance dictates therapy treatment and what you are able to receive from your therapist. The therapist often has multiple patients and cannot give each patient the attention they deserve. We believe the best way to rehab requires patient-specific manual treatments, corrective exercise and education to enhance movement. You will be treated by a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy 100% of the time, not a tech or assistant.

Do you accept HSA/FSA cards?Yes we do!
-
Do I need a referral for physical therapy? No, in Florida you can see a physical therapist without a referral for therapy for 30 calendar days. The advanced training of our Doctors of Physical Therapy allow us to diagnose and treat you when applicable and refer you to the appropriate medical professional if your diagnosis is outside our scope of practice. We care about you and your well-being and strive to do what is the absolute best for our patient’s health. If care is needed beyond 30 days, then the state does require a referral for therapy ordered and produced by a MD, DO, or nurse practitioner.

Do I need to be injured to perform physical therapy? No. Physical therapists are experts in body’s musculoskeletal system. We are able to recognize movement dysfunctions, asymmetries and imbalances and identify the root causes of these poor movement patterns. These impairments are often what lead to a future injury. We provide performance-based therapy combining hands-on manual therapy techniques and corrective exercise to optimize your ability to perform while reducing risk of injury.
